Allianz Switzerland is awarded “EDGE ASSESS” Certification for Workplace Gender Equality
Wallisellen/Zug 29 November 2018. Allianz Switzerland is awarded EDGE ASSESS Certification for workplace gender equality. With this certification, Allianz commits to being an attractive employer that takes equal opportunity seriously.
As part of the EDGE Certification process, a deep analysis of Allianz Switzerland data and processes was conducted, including a comprehensive survey of Allianz Switzerland employees. The results showed that Allianz is on the right path to: building a strong gender balance at all levels of the organization; ensuring there is no statistically significant gender pay gap; creating a solid framework of effective policies and practices to ensure equitable career flows for both women and men when it comes to pay equity, recruitment and promotions, leadership development training & mentoring, flexible working and organizational culture; and creating an inclusive culture.
- With part-time positions for both women and men, home-office options, and on-site childcare at the headquarters in Wallisellen, Allianz Switzerland enables employees to arrange their working schedules flexibly, in order to balance their careers, private lives, and family responsibilities.
- With two weeks of paternity leave – national regulation prescribes only one day – Allianz Switzerland enables fathers as well as mothers to devote themselves to their families in the important first days following the birth of their children.
- Allianz Switzerland has been working for some time to ensure that there are no differences in compensation between women and men. As part of their EDGE Certification process, the company strengthened their commitment to proactively manage gender pay equity on an annual basis. In this respect, Allianz Switzerland is a step ahead of pending regulation requiring equal pay for equivalent work in Switzerland.
