Third-Party Certification System
To maintain impartiality, EDGE Certification operates as a third-party certification system. This means that the EDGE Certified Foundation itself does not certify organizations. Certificates are issued by Certification Bodies, who are independently accredited to be able to perform audits and certification processes in relation to the EDGE Global Standards.
EDGE Certification is based on objective and measurable evidence of an organization’s current status of gender and intersectional equity in its workplace. Audited by independent third-party bodies, it supports the integrity and credibility of data and information, and gives an organization a powerful way to communicate its DE&I commitment and performance.

Certification Bodies
Certification Bodies are third-party, accredited and EDGE-approved organizations that perform audits and certification processes in relation to the EDGE Global Standards. The Certification Bodies are responsible for giving written or equivalent assurance that an organization conforms to the requirements of the EDGE Global Standards, in order to achieve EDGE Certification. The Certification Body shall provide certification documents to the certified organization, usually in the form of a certificate.
EDGE Certified Foundation currently works with three approved global Certification Bodies.
