In Poland, the Personal Data Protection Act of 10 May 2018, which came into force on 25 May 2018, supplements the GDPR at the national level. It provides robust protections for personal data, including sensitive categories such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic and biometric data, health information, and data related to a person’s sex life or sexual orientation.
