The organization becomes the first in its industry and in Morocco to obtain EDGE Move certification.
Capgemini Technology Services Maroc, a global leader in the IT sector and part of the Capgemini group, has become the only organization in Morocco to achieve EDGE Move level certification, showcasing the progress it has made towards workplace gender equity.
EDGE is the leading global assessment and business certification for gender equity. EDGE Move level is the second level of certification which demonstrates an organization’s progression in fostering workplace gender balance and gender equity. The certification process involves a rigorous third-party review of representation across the pipeline, pay equity, effectiveness of policies and practices, and inclusiveness of an organisation’s culture. As an integral part of the assessment, employees receive a comprehensive survey to assess perceptions of equity in the workplace.
Asmâa Oudghiri, HR, Com & CSR Director for Capgemini Technology Services Maroc, says that the organization has become a model in its sector for implementing effective initiatives for gender equity: “The EDGE Move certification testifies to Capgemini Technology Services Maroc’s commitment and progress in terms of gender equality. Performing a rigorous certification process which involved measuring, benchmarking, and formulating a transformation plan highlights the existence of a solid framework to create an inclusive work environment.”
Having obtained its first EDGE Assess certification in 2017, Capgemini Technology Services Maroc’s certification at EDGE Move level is clear evidence of the improvement in workplace gender representation at most levels of responsibility in the organization. The organization further commits to improving its gender representation at the top two Grade levels of responsibility, as well as in its core functions. Moreover, it will continue to strengthen its organizational policies and practices in the areas of leadership development training and mentoring.
Capgemini Technology Services Maroc is guided by its mission to provide and progress with technology for businesses to ensure an inclusive and sustainable future. The EDGE Certification process is a key part of supporting the organization in reaching its goals.
Aniela Unguresan, Founder of EDGE Certified Foundation, says this is a significant achievement for the organization, and a first for the country: “Capgemini Technology Services Maroc’s proactive management of pay equity played a major role in enabling the organization to achieve EDGE Move certification for the first time. There has been significant progress leading up to the second level of EDGE certification, and the organization can demonstrate improvements in representation, employee’s perceptions and experiences of equal pay, recruitment and promotion, leadership development training and mentoring, flexible working, and organizational culture. Its commitment is setting a worthy example for other organizations in its sector and in Morocco to follow.”
