Decathlon Group attains Global EDGE Assess Certification and EDGEplus

Decathlon Group has been globally certified at the EDGE Assess level recognizing its commitment to workplace gender equity. Additionally, Decathlon Group has also achieved EDGEplus Certification demonstrating the group’s commitment to analyzing intersectional equity, considering different dimensions of diversity including LGBTQ+, race/ethnicity, age, working with a disability, and nationality.

This is a remarkable achievement that highlights the group’s dedication to making a diverse workforce, equitable work environment, and inclusive culture central to its business success. Through an exceptional effort involving the assessment, benchmarking, and independent third-party verification of 23 entities across 18 countries—representing over 80% of its global workforce—EDGE Certification brings rigour, credibility, and global consistency to the group’s approach. It also sets a higher standard for transparency and accountability in advancing workplace gender equity. Notably, Decathlon is the first sports brand in the world to achieve EDGE Certification.

“DECATHLON has shown true championship spirit in its pursuit of diversity and inclusion goals by measuring where it stands, setting the bar for where it wants to go and detailing a plan for getting there. Their Global EDGE Assess and EDGEplus Certifications demonstrate that, like in sports, great achievements come from purpose, commitment, team solidarity and leadership support.” said Aniela Unguresan, Founder and Member of the EDGE Certified Foundation Board.
